About Aloha Ayurveda

A nonprofit educational institution dedicated to classical Ayurvedic learning, integrative thinking, and responsible practice.

Who We Are

Aloha Ayurveda is a nonprofit educational institution based in Hawaii and dedicated to providing a structured and authentic approach to Ayurvedic education.

Our programs are designed to preserve the classical foundations of Ayurveda while supporting thoughtful application in contemporary health and wellness settings.

We approach Ayurveda as both a system of knowledge and a living tradition—one that includes philosophy, lifestyle, ethics, clinical reasoning, and practical application.

Our Mission

The mission of Aloha Ayurveda is to educate and train students in the principles and practice of Ayurveda through a structured, authentic, and integrative approach—preparing them to apply this knowledge responsibly in clinical, community, and personal settings.

Our Vision

To be a recognized center for high-quality Ayurvedic education that integrates classical knowledge with modern clinical relevance, and develops practitioners who are thoughtful, skilled, and grounded in ethical practice.

Our Core Values

Our Story

Aloha Ayurveda was founded with the intention of creating a more complete and grounded approach to Ayurvedic education—one that honors its classical roots while preparing students for meaningful application in the modern world.

Based in Hawaii, the organization brings together traditional Ayurvedic knowledge, the philosophical foundations of Yoga, and contemporary perspectives from integrative medicine. The aim is to provide an educational experience that is both authentic in its source and relevant in its application.

The school is designed to offer more than theoretical instruction. Students are introduced to Ayurveda as a living system—one that is practiced, observed, and applied in real-world contexts.

Founder

Dr. Kitty Victoria

Aloha Ayurveda was founded by Dr. Kitty Victoria, a physician trained in integrative medicine with a background that bridges conventional and traditional systems of care.

Her journey began in India during medical training and continued through formal study of Yoga and its philosophical foundations. This developed into a sustained commitment to integrating the healing traditions of India with modern medical practice.

Dr. Victoria has pursued advanced training in integrative oncology, Ayurveda, acupuncture, and plant-based nutrition, and completed fellowship training in integrative medicine at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona.

Aloha Ayurveda was created in response to a gap in how Ayurveda is often taught—either as purely theoretical or insufficiently integrated into real-world practice.

Educational Philosophy

Aloha Ayurveda teaches Ayurveda as a complete and coherent system of knowledge.

Our educational philosophy emphasizes conceptual clarity, ethical responsibility, critical thinking, and practical application. Students are encouraged to engage deeply with foundational principles while developing the ability to apply them thoughtfully in contemporary settings.

We believe meaningful training requires more than information. It requires structure, inquiry, guidance, and respect for the tradition from which Ayurveda emerges.
